Be considerate, ask for consent, respect people’s boundaries, and be aware of power dynamics. Be engaged, use nonverbal communication to help the event feel more engaging. Be safe, think carefully before you exchange personal information like phone numbers or email addresses. Let the event organizer know if you feel uncomfortable.
To report a violation of this policy, speak confidentially to the Event Coordinator, who will introduce themselves at the beginning of the event, or email dan@kanbandan.com
Delegates must comply immediately when asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour. Anyone violating these rules may be asked to leave an event at the sole discretion of the organisers without a refund or removed from a virtual event. They may also be excluded from future events at the discretion of the organisers.
